Neuland Script with Christine Farmer
October 18 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Neuland was a typeface designed and cut by Rudolf Koch, calligrapher, typographer and illustrator, in 1923. In writing this as a script the pen angle must be continually adjusted to produce the simple solid letters. It lends itself to short, close-packed texts, use of colour, and decoration of the letters. Historically, it has been considered a mix between Blackletter and a sans-serif font, showing the gradual modernisation of German graphic design techniques during the time of the Bauhaus movement between the two world wars.
