“Foundational Script” Part 2 with Elsa Schwan

The best script for beginners starting their journey in calligraphy, Foundational is an upright script using a broad edged pen.
Beginners from last month can continue to perfect their basic Foundation script, or if they wish they can loosen the shackles and try some ‘Fun with Foundtional’.
Any new beginners will start with the basics of Foundation script. Experienced calligraphers can contine to perfect their Foundation if they want to, or swing straight into some ‘Fun with Foundation’ (based on Deirdre Hassed’s “Funky Foundational” workshop). Then in the afternoon let’s go BIG! With Foundational! Not usually the first choice for more experimental work. But why not? Big nibs, brushes? Elsa will bring some balsa pieces.
In addition to the materials listed below, please being the following items if you can.
- A3 paper or bigger if you have it – don’t buy
- Gouache or coloured ink
- 2 or 3 coloured pencils
- 2 fineliners or not-so-fine liners – think BIG!
