“Grace Gladdish is a Tasmanian artist who has been working almost exclusively with relief printing in Lino for the past 7 years. She has experience teaching at secondary and tertiary levels across a broad range of techniques. This linocut workshop will focus on how to translate lettering designs into Lino blocks for printing multiples. Participants will work on designs suitable for the medium, transferring them onto a block and then carving, printing and finishing the work. There are many applications for calligraphers – print your own posters, business cards, content for bookmaking, Christmas cards, or just for the love of the process.”

As part of the course fee, participants will receive a new V cutting tool, 2 pieces of Lino 15 x 15cm and 30 x 30cm, and printing ink. We will use Caligo ink, an oil based ink that can wash out in water.  Grace has included a promoter sheet of Linocut lettering ideas that you can explore online. You can find the link in the materials list below.

This course will be held over 2 days, Sept 19th and Oct 17th.
You must register for the 1st workshop to be able to do the second.

Fee $95 (+ $30 for non members) for the 2 days.
