SUMMARY:“Elaborating Uncials”
DESCRIPTION:Two day workshop with Deirdre Hassed  \nFee $180 \nExplore variations of the Uncial hand\, using different tools\, weights and rhythms in your lettering\, as well as gleaning tips from an historical model. We will include some simple Celtic knotwork designs and each student will come away with a broadsheet (large watercolour sheet) or a book containing the variations. \nWe will be working largely in black and white (or walnut ink) with a touch of colour and/or gold. \nSuitable for all levels of experience\, though a basic understanding of Uncial is necessary. \n  \nELABORATING UNCIALS – Materials’ List \n  \n
