“Golden Opportunity” with various tutors

Cost: Half day members/non members $20/$25, full day $40/$50

There are many ways to bring a sparkle to your calligraphic work without using the lead based gesso from the medieval monasteries, or the ghastly glitter that children leave contaminating the carpet.

In this workshop, several of our members will share their favourite techniques with you, using a wide range of materials. We will also have sample packs of materials for you to add to your tool box, if needed, from several studio clearances over the last few years. If you have discovered any new techniques, or have a favourite medium, please bring to this session of sharing skills and media.

Materials Required –

• A3 sheets of good quality paper 200+gsm, one hot press white, one black
• roll of masking tape 15 or 2omm wide
• PVA or EVA glue in squeeze bottle
• your usual tool kit plus all your gold or silver media
